Dog the Bounty Hunter coming to Hat
Reality television star Dog the Bounty Hunter will be coming to Medicine Hat May 27 bringing a message of faith and the importance of second chances.
Made famous by his A&E series, Duane (Dog) Chapman and his wife Beth also tour throughout the United States and Canada doing speaking engagements. They will be speaking in Medicine Hat as part of Emerge, a city-wide, non-denominational youth event held at the Central Neighbourhood Hub. All proceeds from the event will go toward Eagle’s Nest Ranch.
“We wanted to create a buzz, do something unique, and create a little excitement to raise money for a good cause,” says Tyler Davidson, who is helping to organize the event.
Chapman — who once served time in a Texas prison for first-degree murder — is now a born-again Christian who is one of only a handful of men in the United States who makes a living as a professional bounty hunter. In his public presentations, he talks about his faith, the value of family, the importance of second chances, and being the best at what you do.
The pre-show will include a performance by Team X-Treme Christian athletes, who perform feats of strength like breaking bricks and bending bars. There will also be an appearance by the tallest man in Canada.
The event will take place at Central Neighbourhood Hub (81 Industrial Ave. SE). Mike’s Meats will be sponsoring a tailgate barbecue at the event, which will begin at 4 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m., pre-show starts at 5:30 p.m., with the main event beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets cost $50, with all proceeds going to Eagles Nest Ranch. Tickets can be purchased at Central Neighbourhood Hub or at http://www.Tixx.ca
