COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police worked with the “Dog” to take a bite out of crime in Colorado Springs.

On Monday night, Colorado Springs police received several calls about a group of people banging on a door on the east side of the city.

When they arrived, they found Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman and six to eight friends looking to find a wanted man.

A police spokesman said the two groups worked together amicably, got permission to search the home and found a fugitive wanted for investigation of robbery and criminal impersonation.

“It seemed like it worked well. He used common sense and stayed within the law,” said Colorado Springs police Lt. David Whitlock.

Eric Rivera was taken into police custody
